Ecommerce Grass Roots Movement=Bonanzle

With all of the seemingly detrimental changes happening at eBay, many online sellers have been searching for a new place to call home and make a profit once again.  I am one of these sellers. I’ve been a seller on eBay for close to 11 years now and have never really felt the need to sell elsewhere…..until recently.

A close friend of mine who was discouraged with the changes at eBay had been researching online selling alternatives. She found Bonanzle and sent me off an email, asking my opinion. I think I registered before I even answered her back! I was so surprised and pleased to have found a user-friendly, simple site that got back to the basics…fun and selling.  It’s rather odd, but the ‘boyz’ over at Bonanzle seem to be a part of the current nationwide trend of CHANGE through a grassroots movement. Since I have registered on the site, the users there have more than tripled in number. That’s in about a month’s time! Every day, the user numbers rise dramatically–All without an advertising campaign and mega bucks. The growth of this site is essentially being spearheaded by the sheer will and enthusiasm of the eager registered users and the whole-hearted support of the head honchos, Mark and Bill.

Change has come to online selling in the form of Bonanzle and its most enthusiastic sellers and buyers. Bonanzle IS different than eBay: each seller has their own ‘booth’, sets their own payment options, has the ability to take offers on items, and has management that is willing not only to listen to its base, but ACT on the base’s suggestions. Amazing.  Each selling booth also has an integrated chat feature. Buyers can instantly ask questions to the seller through a chat screen present in the booth. If the seller is online, but perhaps not on the Bonanzle site, the seller has the option to link to his or her own Instant Messenger service to still recieve messages and notifications of buyers in the booth. It’s very unique, just like Bonanzle!

Bonanzle is not an auction site…but it definitely is a selling site.  Sellers can schedule sales or “Bonanzas” in their booths which are advertised on the main page.  Self-promotion and ‘advertising’ is allowed on the discussion boards. You are allowed to toot your own horn and advise others of your new listings….what a concept! The management at Bonanzle has given selling back to the seller and in the process added quite a bit of fun to the process!
